The Process

A Step-by-Step Process to Transform Your Home, Without the Stress

Phase 1: Design Brief & Technical Framework

We begin by gathering a comprehensive client brief to understand your unique wants, needs, personal style, and how you live. This collaborative process involves detailed discussions, reviewing your home or floor plans, and exploring various spatial layouts, flow, and the proportion of elements within your space through technical drawings.

This crucial phase identifies the best options for your property and how you function within it, and is especially vital for positioning lighting and plumbing before construction begins. I review architectural plans, collaborate closely with architects and builders on any necessary adjustments, and can also review builder tenders to ensure everything aligns with your brief and desired outcomes.

Phase 2: Interior Architecture — Material Selection & Integration

Once the spatial layout is established, we move into the aesthetic development of your home. This phase focuses on interior architecture, where I develop the design direction and detailed briefs that define the overall look and feel of your space.

I provide expert guidance on windows, kitchen and bathroom design, sanitary ware, lighting, flooring, stone, metal finishes, and joinery. Each selection is carefully considered in relation to the whole, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious result that aligns with your vision and lifestyle.

Drawing on my extensive industry experience, I recommend and liaise with trusted suppliers, accompany you to supplier meetings where required, and meet on site with your builder, electrician, and plumber to maintain clarity and momentum throughout the project. All selections are presented via mood boards, and I offer ongoing support via messaging for smaller, day-to-day decisions as they arise.

Phase 3: Pulling It All Together — Curating Your Home

In this final phase, with your design direction and budget clearly defined, we focus on bringing the visual and experiential beauty of your home to life. This involves carefully selecting curtains, blinds, furniture ( such as sofas, dining tables, beds), decorative lighting, accessories, and art.

Every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure a cohesive, polished, and harmonious environment transforming your house into your dream home and avoiding the “unfinished” feeling that can come from tackling this stage alone. This is where all elements come together, creating a bespoke, inspiring, and truly liveable space that reflects your style and lifestyle.

Tailoring this process to suit your project

Depending on where you are in your project, you may require one, two, or all three of these phases. Clients about to take on a renovation or new build may be most interested in Phases 1 and 2, while those looking to refresh one or two rooms in an existing home may focus primarily on Phase 3. Some clients with a more flexible budget may choose support across all three phases.

Every client, every project, and every home is unique, which is why I offer a service designed to suit your specific needs. From a one-off consultation to a full turnkey project and everything in between, this process is completely flexible, ensuring you receive the right level of support for your home and your goals.
